Requirements

• Master or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering or another related field;
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as piping cost estimator;
• Understanding of quality standards;
• High level mathematic skills;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts;
• IT skills: Microsoft Office and MS Project and ERP software, in particular computer estimation software;
• Languages: advanced English;
• Availability to be abroad on a rotation scheme;

Main tasks

• Good in-depth knowledge of hydraulic piping prefabrication and erection;
• Engages with the engineering project team;
• Serve as the design and construction team liaison advising for the early implementation of best practises focusing on costs reductions and best lead times;
• Pre-bid meetings;
• Collect and analyze all the project data in order to assess the time, money, materials and labour required, to manufacture and install all the Data Center piping and in-line equipment;
• Travelling to job sites to gather information on materials, labor and the best piping erection practises;
• Using computer software to calculate costs estimates;
• Prepare the final bids to present to customers;
• Report to upper management.
