Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field;
  • Minimum 3 years working as Quality Control;
  • Experience with international material standards, structure EN1090, pressure/process piping and vessel codes, NDT and welding procedures, ASME, API, EN codes;
  • Informatics (Microsoft Office and Word);
  • Good written skills, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner;
  • Knowledge of foreign languages (English – advanced level, other languages - plus);
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills;
  • Immediate availability for a project in Spain.
Main tasks
  • Commitment to and promotion of Mecwide’s values and ensuring the realization of Company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and procedures;
  • Manage Quality Control Technician;
  • Develop and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP), project quality related procedures such as Inspection and Test Plan (ITP);
  • Ensure inspection procedures and requirements are complied with through surveillance and witnessed inspection;
  • Knowledge / experience about Piping Isometrics, P&ID, general arrangement drawings, Structural drawings, Weld Maps, welding symbols, Cutting Plans, Quality control procedures, Base Materials, and welding consumables;
  • Ensure acceptable uniform interpretation of defined technical and quality requirements;
  • Review of Project Quality and approve for construction;
  • Perform quality audits as required;
  • Perform vendor shop surveys when required;
  • Mentor and provide guidance to project team on quality requirements to promote self-assessment of work activity and reduce reliance on inspection personnel to identify potential concerns;
  • Review test packs and all inspection reports for finalizing the package and Inspection documents submission and demonstration for Client approvals;
  • Welder Certification Management;
  • Responsible for timely inspection and QC supervision during fabrication and installation, proactive in the prevention of non-compliance and problem resolution;
  • Provide weekly input to the Project Manager reporting, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems;
  • Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked, and closed;
  • Compilation of quality documentation for issuing the Final Data Book to be sent to the cliente;
  • Conduct aligned duties as directed by QAQC Manager in Portugal.
