Last April, as part of the commemorations of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Mecwide promoted the campaign “Let’s act together” with the aim of raising awareness among employees for safe behaviour in the workplace and promoting a positive culture of safety and health.
The campaign took place over a week, in the various locations where Mecwide is present, namely in production units and yards. Lectures were given on the importance of safe behaviour and various actions were carried out with employees.
Besides these initiatives, Mecwide took to Belgium the Mecwide Safety Challenge, a safety challenge which has the goal of reinforcing the commitment and involvement of all employees in the prevention and reduction of work accidents. This action was carried out at the Steelanol project yard and had the participation not only of the mecwiders, but also of the customer and other subcontracted companies present on site.
Always with a focus on “Safety First”, Mecwide continues to work together with employees, customers and partners to build a positive safety and health culture.
