Mecwide

Large Solar Power Project in Sub-Saharan Africa

Mecwide was part of a major solar energy project in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The overall project consisted of the construction of several solar farms with more than 1 million solar panels installed. Mecwide’s participation involved the electromechanical assembly of the solar panels at the Biopio and Baía Farta Plants.

The implementation of this project represents an important contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and it will allow an annual reduction of pollutant emissions of about one million tons of CO2 (carbon dioxide).

It is extremely important for Mecwide to contribute to a more sustainable development.
