Mecwide Mozambique successfully completed the work carried out at the Liquid Fuel and LPG Storage Terminal, in the city of Matola, in Mozambique. The terminal (GIMTL) opened in December 2020, aims to strengthen the reliability and safety of fuel supply to the entire southern region of Mozambique and to double the capacity for receiving and storing domestic gas (LPG).
Mecwide’s work included the supply and assembly of all metal structures, the prefabrication and assembly of all process and auxiliary piping, as well as the assembly of all electromechanical equipment such as loading arms, pumping systems, valves, filters, and more.
The project started in 2019, and involved a multidisciplinary team specialized with more than 150 employees at the peak of the work, having finished in December 2020.
