Nacala Port expasion and modernization project

During the months of March and April, Mecwide participated in the project to expand the Port of Nacala, thus contributing to the development of the economy in the Nacala Logistics Corridor, which covers Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia.

With a large, specialized team of employees, Mecwide Mozambique was responsible for the unloading and assembly of two QGC ship cranes (Quay Gantry Crane) with a height of 70m and six RTG gantry cranes (Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane) with a height of 24m.

The unloading to the pier happened using the “Roll-off” method with the aid of platforms and temporary ramps installed by the Mecwide team.

Due to the commitment and professionalism of all employees, the work ended with zero accidents.
