Mecwide began repairing the inside of the furnace and replacing parts of the raw mill and had an intervention in the stackers and coal reclaimers, in the storage silo of approximately 1050 tons, in the homogenization silo and also made the repair and replacement of belts.
In Luanda, the Nova Cimangola Shutdown had around 39 employees at the Sequele plant, including industrial mechanics, welders, mechanical fitters, pipefitters, vulcanizers, lubricators, a driver and a crane operator. These employees belong to a team of 83 people who are part of Mecwide’s Technical Assistance Agreement with Nova Cimangola.
Due to the professionalism and commitment of all employees, the works ended with zero accidents and one week ahead of schedule.
